Second Lieutenant Radha Mohan Naresh was killed in action on December 10, 1971, defending the Raipur Crossing, one of the fordable points of the Munnawar Tawi river, the Indian line of defense for the Akhnoor Sector, ten days after being commissioned into the IX Jat Regiment at the age of 21.

The crest of the Indian Navy’s new UAV squadron, INAS (Indian Naval Air Squadron) 343, which will be commissioned in Porbandar in Gujarat on Monday. The squadron will operate Searcher and Heron UAVs. The navy’s first UAV squadron is INAS 342 based in Kochi in Kerala. The navy plans a third squadron at INS Parundu at Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.
