Canada to supply uranium to India

The agreement to enable Canada sell its uranium to India came into force in end-September after Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid met Canadian Minister of Natural Resources, Joe Oliver. Both New Delhi and Ottawa are keen to begin supplies at the earliest.

2nd IAF C-17 delivered

1st IAF C-17 lands in India

The aircraft took off from the company’s manufacturing plant at Long Beach, California on June 11 and made several stops, including one at Barcelona, before it arrived in India.

1st IAF C-17 in flight tests

This first aircraft is expected to be handed over to the IAF this summer and Boeing says it’s ‘on track to deliver four more C-17s to the IAF this year and five in 2014’.

Indian companies discuss nuclear partnerships with Canada

As India and Canada resume nuclear ties after 36 years, Indian companies discussed partnerships with their Canadian counterparts at the Nuclear Industry Conference and Trade Show which ended here Friday. The annual three-day trade show was organized by the Canadian Nuclear Association, a representative body of Canadian nuclear companies.

India to sit in UNSC next year

India has been elected to the United Nations Security Council as a non-permanent member, along with four other countries on Tuesday. In the first round, India got 187 votes, the highest number of the winning candidates, South Africa got 182 and both Pakistan and Swaziland got 01 vote each, presumably their own.
