Army removes all TSD intel officers

In an unprecedented move, the Indian Army has posted out all the officers of the Technical Support Division, leaving the controversial intelligence unit without any leadership after year-long allegations of unauthorized phone taps and financial impropriety.

GE finally gets LCA engine order

The order, placed in October-end, is only for eight GE F-414 engines meant for design, development and integration onto the Light Combat Aircraft Mk II airframe. India had decided to order 99 of these engines in 2010.

Defense Ministry moves to overhaul pensions

Defense Minister A.K. Antony directed orders to be issued by the end of this month for the payment of increased pensions for personnel who retired before 2006 at a cost of INR 2,300 crore, by March 31, 2013, which is expected to affected over two million veterans.
