Issue of cross-border mobile signals to be taken up: Deora

New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has asked the external affairs ministry to discuss with Islamabad and Dhaka the issue of mobile signals being available in Indian territory even though telecom operators are not allowed to provide cellular service within 500 meters of the international border, Parliament was informed Wednesday.

Koreas exchange fire

Artillery shells fired from North Korea Wednesday landed near the disputed sea border with South Korea. In response, South Korea’s military also fired artillery shells towards the North, Yonhap news agency reported.
