Flying car at Aero India

As incredible at it sounds, Aero India 2011, beginning in Bangalore next Wednesday, will feature a flying car as one of the exhibits at the show. The car, a Maruti 800 hatchback, has been converted into a flying machine by a company known as Bangalorean.

Karzai to visit India

India is expected to convey its strong reservations over Pakistan’s attempts to influence the Taliban reintegration process when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh meets Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday.

General Dynamics to exhibit airborne-compatible Bowman BMS

General Dynamics UK will showcase its Bowman Battlefield Management System (BMS), configured for tactical communication between air and land domains, at Aero India 2011 in Bangalore next week. It will also demonstrate its solutions for airfield security and avionics systems for the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) and the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Northrop Grumman to show-off ISR systems

Northrop Grumman Corporation plans to show-off its intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems ‘including airborne early warning and control systems for maritime reconnaissance, fire control radars and unmanned aerial vehicles’, at Aero India 2011 in Bangalore, next week.
