Musharraf is now an accused in Benazir killing

Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf’s name was included on Monday in the list of accused in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case, according to a media report. Musharraf’s name was added to the list following a statement by former Rawalpindi city police chief Saud Aziz, the daily Dawn reported.

Germany indicts LTTE spokesman on terrorism charges

A spokesman for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Germany has been indicted on terrorism charges, federal justice authorities said Monday in Karlsruhe. Agilan W., who now holds German citizenship, was arrested in November and indicted January 24.

Indian warships collar pirates

Indian Navy and Coast Guard vessels captured a pirate mother ship, complete with buccaneers and hostages, after a firefight around a 100 nautical miles off Kavaratti in Lakshadweep, in the early hours of Sunday.

ULFA to open unconditional talks

The outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) Saturday said unconditional peace talks with the central government will begin Feb 10, in a move that may bring the curtains down on more than three decades of insurgency in Assam.
